On one of the hottest days of the year a full field of 70 golfers took part in the Eastern Counties Cup at a fabulous Woodbridge in Suffolk. The Heath course, whilst not overly long at 6299 yards still required players to keep the ball straight on hard fairways with anything to either side being severly punished.

At the end of 36 holes Chris Ginn and the 14 year old M Fosker progressed to SFG Qualifying School at Celtic Manor.
