Stoke Rochford Golf Club plays host to a Junior SFG qualifying event on the 8th - 10th July

The course is one of the most attractive and interesting golf layouts in Lincolnshire and the East Midlands with its interesting contours, 4 river holes over the Cringle Brook, its playability, except under the severest of weather conditions, and the tremendous variety of flora and fauna.

The Midland Youths Open Championship has been held for 23 years at Stoke Rochford Golf Club in Lincolnshire. It is a 72 hole event over 3 days and this year is on the 8th, 9th and 10th July. All competitors this are are of 5 handicap or less, and will play 18 holes on the first two days, with the top 45 and ties qualifying for the final 36 holes on Friday 10th. There are various trophies on offer (Best under 21, best under 18, and best Midland player.. Previous Winners include European Tour player and SFG Pro Jim Payne, and international David Skinns. Gary Boyd of Northants won in 2004 and 2005, whilst Jonathan Gidney of Church Stretton has won the event in each of the last three years.

 

Prizes

Best nett score over the 72 holes will qualify through to SFG Qualifying School at Celtic Manor on Monday 26th October and have the chance to qualify for Team SFG in the SFG Challenge Cup Final.
