TEAM SFG takes on the Ryder Cup players on the Twenty Ten course @ Celtic Manor

84 qualifers will progress to SFG Qualifying School and have the chance to to play in a team captained by Peter McEvoy (TEAM SFG) against former Ryder, Walker and Solheim cup players (Pro-Challenge Team) in a 2-day final (SFG Challenge Cup).

SFG Challenge Tour - County Qualifying Events
- April - September 2009
- Each player gets
- Free sleeve of Srixon Z-Star balls
- SFG cap, tees, pencils and markers
- Winner goes through to SFG Qualifying school
- Srixon Z-Star balls for prizes

SFG Qualifying School
- Monday 26th October 2009
- @ Celtic Manor (Montgomerie course)
- 18 holes strokeplay (full handicap allowance)
- Played the day before the SFG Challenge Cup Final
- Free golf for all qualifers
- Top 10 individuals (best nett scores) qualify to play in Team SFG for two-day final against the Pro Challenge Team (former Ryder Cup Players)
- Nearest the pin (15th hole) receives a break for 4 @ Heron's Reach - more details
- Free accommodation and team meal with Peter McEvoy provided for Top 10

SFG Challenge Cup Final
- Played day after SFG Qualifying School
- Tuesday 27th & Wednesday 28th October 2009
- @ Celtic Manor (TwentyTen course)
- 2 day event played between Team SFG (top 10 individuals from previous day) and the ‘Pro- Challenge Team'
- Day one - foursomes and fourballs Day two - singles
- Each Team SFG member receives
- Two days golf against the Pro-Challenge Team
- Two night’s accommodation
- Gala dinner with the Pro Challenge Team (Tues 27th - Jacket & Tie required)
- SFG Team Glenmuir polo shirts and jumpers
- Your own personal Caddy and Caddy bib
- Srixon carry bag, glove and balls
- Use of practice facilities
- All food for 2 days
SFG CHALLENGE TOUR 2009 - RULES
- Events open to male and female competitors - no age limit (unless stated otherwise)
- Full allowance of handicap will be given
- You can enter as many SFG Qualifying events as you wish (provided you fulfil individual events qualifying criteria)
- The leading golfer in each event will always qualify for the SFG Qualifying School (unless they have qualified at a previous event, in which case the next best place golfer will qualify)
