Dean Findlay from Durham City Golf club qualifies at the Leeds Cobble Scratch Trophy.

With a full field of 64 competitors the scene was set for an exhilarating golf day and with rain forecast for the afternoon competitors were keen to get a good score in the early round.

A tight result saw Dean Findlay from Durham City golf club qualify with the nest nett score, shooting a 71 and 73 from his 5 handicap.

Luke Maguire won the gross event and the Cobble Hall scratch after a 4 way tie on 139 was sperated on countback.

Dean has now qualified through to SFG Qualifying School at Celtic Manor on Monday 26th October and has the chance to qualify for Team SFG in the SFG Challenge Cup Final.
