A little difficult to get to but well worth the drive, have you played the Hotchkin course? Last edited by sfgadmin (30 Dec 2009 - 11:36) |

You need to be hitting the ball well to keep it on the short stuff, and out of the bunkers and bracken. You will use every club in your bag around here. The Bracken is a worthy sister course as well. It's growing up quite nicely. Get yourself a reasonably priced day ticket and play both courses in a day. |

The Hotchkin is a great track but a bit overrated in my opinion - it's quite often quoted as the best inland course in Britain. However I think Hollinwell(Notts) and West Sussex (Pulborough) are better inland courses, they just don't have such a high profile as Woodhall (and they probably want to keep it that way). |

The Hotchkin is worth that alone. Its high ranking in the top courses in the UK is entirely justified and the facilities are stunning. Go and play it but enjoy the beautiful surroundings to get the full appreciation of this wonderful, out of the way, venue. |
