Howard Boylan played the round of his life to win the Burghley Park open on Sunday 21st June

Situated in the lovely parkland surrounding Burghley House and located on the outskirts of Stamford, one of England's finest towns, Burghley Park is a superbly conditioned private golf club.

The greens were very fast measuring 10.6 on the stimp meter and after carding a first round nett 64 Howard secured his win by 3 clear shots shooting a nett 69 in the afternoon.

"I'm nervous beyond belief, I've never been in this position before" exclaimed Boylan after 27 holes but he held his nerve to close out the victory o nhis home course.

Howard has now qualified through to SFG Qualifying School at Celtic Manor on Monday 26th October and has the chance to qualify for Team SFG in the SFG Challenge Cup Final.
