Hello all, can I first of all thank SFG for all the hard work they put in to run the site and events, it is much appreciated.

Apologies if there has been a lack of comment here but it's been a manic time in the SFG office.

Finished tied 1st but 2nd after count back at the Southern Major this weekend. Missed a short putt on the back nine and failed to birdie 18 after hitting a punched 5 iron 3ft from the pin.

Well I have to say it's been an interesting few weeks. I think I've sorted out my driver, been to the Open and popped my Achilles!

I recently met Paul Heming of Single Figure Golfer at The Oxfordshire Golf Club. We were playing in a Sport Relief Charity Day and Paul remembered me from last years,2009 Bournemouth Open Event.

The more I practise the luckier I get? Ever heard that? Well I suppose a lot is true about this statement but also is this more to do with your mentality?

Sad to see a fellow countryman mess up the final round having played so well all week. So what happened? Did his swing break down or did he break down?

Just wondering if anybody else agrees with me that if you get your head straight then the golf usually follows.

My quest for Single Figure status continues and despite watching loads of talented golfers srike some great shots (I mean the SFG Tour not the US open by the way!) I'm still to actually get a m
